Meeting organised to look at other important issues linked to transparency and traceability, two concepts essential in the Equine industry to preserve the Health and Welfare of the Horses in Europe. We can make progress to reach a higher level of protection for horses from birth to end of life. This meeting offers an opportunity to reflect on what works for the equine sector, what gaps remain, and to lay the groundwork for a potential Parliament Own-Initiative Report on equine needs at EU level. Relevant experts from the equine sector are present today to inform us on how, as politicians, we can lead the way.
